The #4 seeded Tigers defeated the #1 seeded Fairview Park in arguably the game of the year in northeast Ohio! In a packed gym at Bedford HS, the Tigers overcame a 7 point halftime deficit to defeat the Warriors 100-96 victory in overtime. The Tigers made 12 threes as a team, with Ramelle Arnold hitting all 6 in the second half. The victory was a complete team effort and the team proved to be as resilient as they come. Omahn Dobbins stepped up big, making two key plays that helped the Tigers seal the deal. First, hitting Trezelle McQueen on a cut to the basket to tie the game up in regulation with 10 seconds to play. The second, hitting the go ahead 3 pointer in overtime. The Tigers got huge minutes Brandon Jones who was a key defender on Fairview Park’s Luke Howes. Brandon made things tough most of the night and it took everything Howes had to keep his team in the game. The Tigers got great minutes from big man Trezelle McQueen who did a great job finishing in the paint, and getting a key block down the stretch. Deangelo Bell and Trey Washington stepped up big time providing inside scoring and rebounding for the team. The Tigers were led by Ramelle Arnold who finished with 30 points, 7 assist and 6 rebounds. Omahn Dobbins added 23 points, 7 assist and 4 rebounds. Trey Washington stepped up with 15 points. Deangelo Bell played big for the Tigers adding 14 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Rounding out the majority of the scoring was Trezell McQueen who got 12 points and 6 rebounds. The Tigers will play for the District Championship this Friday as they play the winner of Elyria Catholic and Crestwood. The District Final will be Friday night at 7pm at Bedford HS.
