For the 2019-2020 school year, Warrensville Athletics will be doing feature stories to showcase our current student-athletes. Each student-athlete will be presented with a series of questions that will help our Tiger community build a connection with the person. This series will be called the “Tiger Athlete Spotlight” series.
Warrensville Athletics: Omahn, tell the Tiger community a little about yourself.
O: My name is Omahn Dobbins, and I’m a senior at Warrensville Heights High School. I am a nice and respectful young man who takes care of business and is determined to be great at whatever I put my mind to. I am a member of the cross country team as well as the basketball team for the Tigers.
Who is your favorite music artist?
O: I don’t have a favorite music artist specifically, but my favorite genre is rap.
What is your favorite song?
O: I don’t have a favorite song.
What is your favorite food?
O: My favorite food is chicken alfredo.
What are you goals for the upcoming season?
O: My goals for the upcoming season are to improve as an athlete and take the leadership role both in cross country and in basketball. I want to build a strong bond with my teammates and achieve a state championship.
What is your favorite part of being a student-athlete?
O: My favorite part of being a student-athlete is being recognized for the hard work that I put in. It always feels good to see your hard work pay off and you get recognized for it.
What is the most important advice your coach has given you?
O: The most important advice my coach has given me is to believe in myself and to never doubt myself.
Any advice for our future Tiger athletes?
O: The advice I would give for the the future Tiger athletes is to be confident and block out all haters that doubt you. Use those haters as motivation and work super hard to prove them wrong.
